Personal:

I am married and have two wonderful kids, 14 and 10.  I've been running since 1982.  I never get "basic" injuries.  I always get the real nasty career threatening kind, like stress fracture of the sacrum, ganglion cyst clamping  down on my peroneal nerve.

Tough run during lunch today. First day running outside since last Saturday, snow melting, still slick in spots. Ran on Heritage Trail to Hunt and did the 4 mile "square". Whole body completely dead from the last few days. Had 26:00 half way, so was able to pick it up a little on the way back. Temp warm 36. A little overdressed. First day of TNT tomorrow morning.

Today ran 8x200m with John M from work on the indoor track at Rose-Hulman during lunch.  10 minute jog warmup, then 8x200m w/ 200m jog all in the 41-43 second range w/ one in 44.  This was really tough.  10 minute cooldown.  Kinda sore still from the Octane.  Still too much slippery snow outside.

Ran a really tough 4.5 miles on the indoor track at Rose.  First time I've run since Saturday.  The legs and my forearms are actually kinda sore from the Octane.  Total time 34:50.  Had to break it into 12 minute sections.  Very hot and dry inside.

Another 99 minutes on the Octane today.  Still snowed in.  Made it to 16.8 miles.  This one was pretty tough the last 20 minutes.  Avg HR 132.

A pretty decent 99 minutes on the Octane today.  Temps are -16 outside, -40 with the windchill and there is 12" of snow on the ground w/ 2' drifts.  Felt better than yesterday, made it to 15.75 miles in 99 minutes.

Woke up today to the snow storm.  Anticipated this by running my 10 miles yesterday.  Today, the plan was to do 99 minutes on the Octane during the football game, but barely made it to 58 minutes.  8 miles on the Octane, which is dog slow.
